The main advantages of the new operating system are faster processing speed, easier handling, and improved robustness against crashes. Further to this, the previous version will not be supported by the manufacturer in the future. Users are therfore strongly encouraged to use <emphasis><emphasis role="strong"><ulink url="https://lsr-wiki-01.mrc-cbu.cam.ac.uk/imaging/BrukerFmriSequences/imaging/ParaVision#">ParaVision</ulink> 3</emphasis></emphasis> for all new imaging studies. <emphasis><emphasis role="strong"><ulink url="https://lsr-wiki-01.mrc-cbu.cam.ac.uk/imaging/BrukerFmriSequences/imaging/ParaVision#">ParaVision</ulink> 2.1</emphasis></emphasis> will still be available, so that ongoing studies can be completed. </para><para>All previous imaging protocols have been upgraded and will be available with <emphasis><emphasis role="strong"><ulink url="https://lsr-wiki-01.mrc-cbu.cam.ac.uk/imaging/BrukerFmriSequences/imaging/ParaVision#">ParaVision</ulink> 3</emphasis></emphasis>. New methodological developments will only be available with <emphasis><emphasis role="strong"><ulink url="https://lsr-wiki-01.mrc-cbu.cam.ac.uk/imaging/BrukerFmriSequences/imaging/ParaVision#">ParaVision</ulink> 3</emphasis></emphasis>.
