Putting a regression line on a scatterplot in SPSS needs to be done slightly differently using version 12.0 and above. A step by step guide to doing this may be found by choosing 'Chart Editing' and going to page 14 of the pdf document found at http://www.calstatela.edu/its/docs/pdf/lspss12.pdf
